Bush’s former spokesman Scott McClellan has written a book that is apparently critical of the administration.
Among the “most explosive revelations” (says this report) is that Bush relied on “propaganda” to sell the war. Stop the presses! Did anyone need an “inside” account to know this? It’s a “revelation” that a leader uses “propaganda” to sell a war?
Also, in his discussion of the Valerie Plame event, McClellan discloses that he saw Karl Rove and Scooter Libby … meet behind closed doors!!!!
Finally, McClellan writes, “The collapse of the administration’s rationales for war, which became apparent months after our invasion, should never have come as such a surprise. … In this case, the ‘liberal media’ didn’t live up to its reputation. If it had, the country would have been better served.”
Well, then why didn’t he resign and expose the truth? – you know, for the country’s sake.
For crying out loud.
