Obama and Abortion.
August 8, 2008
As, Linda Chavez notes, Obama’s record on abortion is way, way outside the mainstream:
Obama explained his vote [against Illinois' Induced Birth Infant Liability Act] at the time by complaining, “if we’re placing a burden on the doctor that says you have to keep alive even a previable child as long as possible and give them as much medical attention as — as is necessary to try and keep that child alive, then we’re probably crossing the line in terms of unconstitutionality.”
As we’ve been told repeatedly, Obama is much smarter than the rest of us, but I’m still not sure I understand how you “keep” something alive that is only “pre-viable”….
